The Vietnamese Culture and Science Association (VCSA) proudly presents Viet Cultural Fest — a one-day cultural celebration taking place in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

 

Founded in 2018 by three young Vietnamese Americans, Viet Cultural Fest was born from a desire to reconnect with cultural roots and uplift the voices of Houston’s Vietnamese community.

 

The mission of Viet Cultural Fest is to preserve and promote the rich beauty of Vietnamese culture while establishing an annual tradition that welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds throughout Houston and surrounding areas.

 

Each year, the festival highlights different aspects of Vietnam’s 4,000-year-old history and heritage. This year’s theme, “Uống Nước Nhớ Nguồn” — “When drinking water, remember its source” — carries a powerful message: honor the past, cherish the present, and build the future. This timeless Vietnamese proverb emphasizes gratitude, respect for one’s origins, and the importance of remembering those who came before us.

 

As we reflect on 50 years of the Vietnamese diaspora, we express deep appreciation to the United States for the opportunities it has provided. We embrace our heritage and culture while continuing to strengthen and contribute to the diverse American fabric.

 

Viet Cultural Fest offers a vibrant and immersive cultural experience. Attendees will enjoy a rich tapestry of traditional performances, engaging competitions, authentic Vietnamese cuisine, cultural exhibits, folk games, and hands-on activities for all ages. The festival also features Vietnamese food booths, health screenings, civic education resources, community organization exhibits, and showcases from Vietnamese-owned businesses.
