The legendary Vietnamese-American actress with over six decades of international contributions to the motion picture industry from Vietnam to China, India and Hollywood. Appeared in more than 100 films and TV shows such as M*A*S*H and The Joy Luck Club, and the HBO Max TV limit series: The Sympathizer, The Apple TV + Series: Dope Thief….
Kieu-Chinh has received numerous accolades and awards throughout her career including: Best Actress of South Vietnam (1969), Asian Film Festival in Taipei (1972), Cinema Delle Donne Film Festival in Italy (2003), Lifetime Achievement Award from: Vietnamese International Film Festival (2003), San Diego Film Festival (2006),
San Francisco Film Festival of the Globe (2015), and Asian World Film Festival (2021).
The documentary “Kieu-Chinh: A Journey Home” by Fox TV earned an Emmy Award in 1996.
In 2017, Kieu-Chinh received a Congressional Record award from the United Sates Government.
Kieu-Chinh was owner CEO of GIAO CHI Film Company, Executive Producer, in Saigon, Vietnam before 1975, and Co-Producer in USA.
She is also the president, co-chair, and co-founder of the Vietnam Children’s Fund (VCF) along with journalist Terry Anderson, and former Vietnam Vet, Pulitzer Prize winning author Lewis B. Puller. This non-profit organization has built more than 50 schools in Vietnam providing education annually for more than 40,000 students.
