Leyna Nguyen is a five-time Emmy Award-winning journalist and former CBS News anchor, recognized as a trailblazer for Vietnamese-Americans in mainstream media. Today, she continues to break new ground as the CEO of VanMay Financial, where she is transforming lives through financial education. Honored as the “2025 Woman of the Year” by Assemblymember Diane Dixon of District 72, Leyna is celebrated for her dedication to educating and empowering her community.
Driven by a deep passion for financial literacy, Leyna helps Vietnamese families gain confidence in navigating complex financial concepts. Through workshops, one-on-one consultations, and community outreach, she equips individuals with the tools to make informed decisions, build long-term security, and achieve financial stability. Her mission is clear: to turn financial confusion into clarity—so that every family, regardless of background, can take control of their financial future.
Beyond her work in finance, Leyna is the founder of Love Across the Ocean (LATO), a nonprofit organization committed to building schools in rural Vietnam and sponsoring underprivileged children’s education. For over 30 years, LATO has also delivered critical humanitarian aid to communities in crisis, bridging cultural divides and expanding access to education and essential resources.
Expanding her commitment to well-being, Leyna is also the CEO of Junsei Japan, a wellness brand focused on providing high-quality, effective supplements. Through this new venture, she continues her mission to improve lives—this time by supporting health and vitality in the communities she serves.
